I think I'm all recovered from my trip up to Boston to see Piebald's final show this past weekend. All I can say is that it was amazing. If you ever get a chance to see a band play at their final show you have got to take it. Everyone from the band to the crowd leaves everything out there. Every ounce of energy is spent dancing, singing and partying along for the celebration. Even better was that at one point I was just watching the show and I look over to my right and there were the guys from Cave In just enjoying the show right along with me from the crowd.

I posted some pictures up on our Myspace page...www.myspace.com/noisecomplaintradio...so check them out when you get a chance.

Ok, now that I have that out of the way, I'm giving away tickets this week. Anti-Flag is coming to Philadelphia and I scored a couple of pairs for you guys. They will be at the Electric Factory on May 3rd with Street Dogs, The Briggs and Fake Problems. If you want to enter in to get these tickets just email me. Jeff [@] noisecomplaintradio.com.

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!!! We're all Irish on St. Patrick's Day. I grew up just North of Boston and this holiday is bigger than any other in that area. I think this could even be bigger than Christmas in Boston. I also love how everyone pisses and moans about the Boston sports teams being so good but then they all wear Celtics and Red Sox jerseys when they go out.

In order to properly celebrate St. Patrick's Day, I decided to dig deep and try to come up with a good hour of Irish styled punk rock for you. This may or may not have been a good idea but it was some fun to put together so I hope you enjoy it. It's not just Flogging Molly or Dropkick Murphy's either, although they do make an appearance. I found a ton of great bands and I don't think I've ever been so stoked for St. Patrick's Day in my entire life.

That's just the second hour though. In the first hour of the show I have a brand new track from the upcoming Pennywise album. I love a show that requires me to do some research. The harder it is to find some of the songs, the more fun it is for me. That being said, this weeks show took me a little longer than usual but I think it was totally worth it. I know we did our "Most Anticipated Releases of 2008" episode back at the beginning of January but a lot of those were bands that you were probably already familiar with. This week we put together our "Bands to Watch in 2008" episode. I grabbed a few artists that I'm really digging right now and I combined them with a few from Alternative Press Magazine's list and I think we have quite a show. A few of these bands I had never even heard of before so even I got turned on to some new music. That's the second hour of the show.

By the way...check our myspace page, www.myspace.com/noisecomplaintradio, for links to all the websites for these bands so you can check out more music and info about them. You will not be disappointed with what you hear and you can thank me later.

The first hour I have some new music from Millencolin, Rocket From the Crypt and an awesome new song from Bullet Treatment. The Bullet Treatment song, Law of Observation, is amazing. Check it out at their myspace...www.myspace.com/bullettreatment.

I was so excited last week because I got word that I was going to be able to sit down with newcomers Our Last Night. They are a product of the same scene in New Hampshire that I grew up in. Granted, I have a few years on them, but I'm always glad to hear of a band breaking out of small town NH. I had a great time with them and they were great guys but after the interview they sort of hit me with a surprise. As I turned off the microphone Matt and Colin looked at each other and said, "Not bad for our first interview." So apparently I gave these guys their first interview as a band. Now you have to tune in to the show because if you do, you will be able to say later on when Our Last Night are huge that you heard their first interview ever.

Their debut record, The Ghosts Among Us, comes out on March 4th and you can check them out at www.myspace.com/ourlastnight.

I hate getting sick. It's not the exhaustion and just general terrible feeling that I get from it, but it's the way I sound when I talk. Hopefully I don't sound too annoying because I'm really excited for the show this week.

This week it's all about The Loved Ones. If you aren't totally familiar with them please check them out. www.myspace.com/thelovedones. Their music is amazing and on top of that they are a great bunch of guys too. Their live show is incredible too so if they are coming through your way you have to catch them. And on top of that, they are touring with The Gaslight Anthem right now. That's a great lineup.

I actually got to sit down with their singer Dave Hause at the Black Cat in Washington D.C. but unfortunately my microphone chose that night to suck so I lost the whole interview. Thankfully my good friend Jim McGuinn up in Philly at YRockonXPN.org also caught up with them. Tonight you will get to hear a snippet of that interview and also a couple of their new songs that they recorded acoustic for us. All I can say is that they are nothing short of brilliant. You definitely do not want to miss this.

Wow, no interviews this week. Crazy. Been a few weeks since that's happened. Next week I will have a new interview for you though. The Loved Ones are coming through town so I will sit down with them and I'll have that for you to enjoy.

Here are a couple of things for you to check out this week. Punknews.org sat down with Dan Yemin from Paint It Black. They have a new record coming called New Lexicon and you can check out the interview here... http://www.punknews.org/article/27530.

Hot Water Music is going to be hitting the road a little bit. They are heading over to Europe for a couple festival dates and some other stuff. They don't have any crazy tour plans or anything, as Chuck Ragan said in our interview last week, but they will be doing a few shows here and there. They set up a little playlist through Rhapsody and here's what made the list. It's pretty cool actually to see what these guys listen to in their van. It's all over the place too. http://blog.rhapsody.com/2008/01/hot-water-music.html

Other than that, just some new music for you to check out tonight. New songs from The Loved Ones, Paint It Black, Hit the Switch, This is Hell, and my new favorite band Able Baker Fox. Please check them out at www.ablebakerfox.com. Really great stuff.

Thanks for checking us out. Enjoy the show and, as always, your feedback is greatly appreciated.

MONDAY, FEB-04-07
It isn't every day that I get a chance to sit down with one of my musical heroes. I have a nice little list of people that I would love to have the chance to interview and hang out with as I'm sure a lot of people do. However, one name on that list I never thought I would be able to cross off. When I heard Hot Water Music were going to break up almost 2 years ago I thought my chance to meet Chuck Ragan had passed me by. Thankfully he has re-emerged as a solo artist in the last year or so and I finally got my chance to chat with him. I always get worried to meet my idols because I don't want them to turn out to be a dick and then ruin my image of them. Well I have to admit, he is the nicest and most sincere guy I have met in this crazy music business in a long time. It was an absolute pleasure to meet and talk to him.

Tonight you will get to hear my interview with Chuck Ragan. I have split it up into 2 parts because of his career. The first part talks mostly about his current solo work that he is working on. The second involves what's going on with Hot Water Music as they are reuniting and playing shows again for the first time in about a year and a half.

Be sure to check out www.chuckraganmusic.com for updates, new songs, and all things Chuck.

Obviously I'm pretty stoked about this. Other than that, I have some new music from Time Again, Flogging Molly, Hot Water Music and Gwen Stacy, just to name a few. Sit back, relax and enjoy the show!

MONDAY, JAN-29-07
So tonight I have a cool little interview. At first listen, the band Zox doesn't necessarily fly onto the punk rock radar. Their sound is very hard to label and that's what makes them so cool. They have toured with bands like Flogging Molly, Gogol Bordello, Rusted Root and the Warped Tour. Kind of all over the place. Anyway, I had a chance to chat with Dan and Spencer from the band so you will get to hear that interview. We talk about their sound, their new record called "Line In The Sand" and sexual positions. It's not awkward though I swear.

Other than that, I have been on a little Irish Punk Rock kick so you will hear some songs from Dropkick Murphy's, Flogging Molly and the Pogues to name a few. Also I have a little block dedicated to the Give It A Name Festival happening over in London in May. Sit back and enjoy the show. Thanks for tuning in as always!

MONDAY, JAN-21-07
I have to type this all up before my fingers freeze up. The cold weather has finally come upon us here in the north east. This is one of my favorite and least favorite times of the year. On the one hand...there are some really cool shows going around in the winter time. On the other...I really don't want to stand outside forever waiting to get into the venue. Maybe I'm just getting old though. That is also a possibility.

Anyway, tonight's show should be a good one. Some new songs from Our Last Night, Jet Lag Gemini, and the Loved Ones along with some classics from Radio Birdman, Circle Jerks, and the Dead Boys. Also I decided that it's time I write a letter to a certain band in order to help them figure out what kind of direction to go with on their upcoming album. I would tell you who it is but I feel like then you won't have to listen in. So now you will have to listen to figure it all out.

That's all I have for now. Enjoy the show and, as always, email me your thoughts. Catch you later.

Ok everyone. The year 2007 has brought a lot of great punk rock records to us. I hate doing the best of show because there are always some great bands that get snubbed. I love the fall because everyone is putting out new records before the holiday season and the winter tour season. One thing about this week's show though is that I owe an apology to the Flatliners.
